The goal is to foster more informal dialogues one topic at a time -- with each session featuring a guest presentation followed by an open space for questions and sharing. Topics covered to date have been innovations in drainage, watershed education and localizing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

            "The Last Boat on the Lake"

The Ontario Chapter - AFS would like to invite you to a virtual movie screening of Last Boat on the Lake, featuring Dr. Hannah Harrison for an introduction to the film and Q&A following. The event will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 from 7-9 pm EST.  

Last Boat on the Lake tells a character-driven story of commercial fisheries, some of them multi-generational, in the Great Lakes and how much they contribute to the local food chain in Ontario and across Canada.
